This Privacy Policy explains how Unplog ("Unplog," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit, use, or make a purchase from www.unplog.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

Unplog is a U.S.-based brand that sells portable aromatherapy nasal inhalers made with natural essential-oil blends. We currently operate as a sole proprietorship based in Miami, Florida, and ship to customers within the United States.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

a) Information you provide directly

Order and contact information: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order.
Payment information: payment card or other payment details. Payments are processed by our payment processors (e.g., Shopify Payments / Shop Pay and, where applicable, third-party processors). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
Account information (if you create an account): login credentials and saved preferences.
Communications: messages you send us by email, contact forms, or social media, and any information you choose to include.
Marketing preferences: if and when we offer email or SMS updates, the consent and preferences you provide.

b) Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and time spent.
Cookies and similar technologies: small files and pixels used to operate the Site, remember your cart, measure performance, and (where applicable) support advertising. See Section 7 (Cookies and Tracking).

c) Information from third parties

E-commerce and analytics platforms (e.g., Shopify) that power our store.
Advertising and social platforms (e.g., Meta/Instagram, TikTok) that help us measure and deliver marketing.
Shipping and fulfillment partners that help deliver your order.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data). Our products are aromatherapy lifestyle goods and are not medical products; we do not collect health information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and handle returns and exchanges;
communicate with you about orders, customer service, and account matters;
operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our products;
detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues;
comply with legal obligations (such as tax and recordkeeping); and
with your consent where required, send marketing communications and measure marketing performance.

We do not sell our products to children, and we do not use your information to make any medical, therapeutic, or health-related claims.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Service providers / processors: companies that perform services on our behalf, such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, shipping/fulfillment partners, email/customer-service tools, and analytics providers. They may only use the information to perform services for us.
Advertising and analytics partners: platforms such as Meta and TikTok that help us understand and improve marketing. Depending on your settings and applicable law, some of this activity may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in Section 6 and Section 7.
Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Unplog, our customers, or others.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets (for example, if we later form Unplog LLC or sell the business), information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to fulfill orders, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We honor the following rights for all U.S. customers, regardless of state, as a matter of good practice:

Access / Know: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: request that we correct inaccurate information.
Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Opt out of targeted advertising / "sharing": ask us to stop sharing your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

State-specific note (California and other states). Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and other states with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas) may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Note that, given our current size, some state privacy laws may not yet apply to us, but we extend these core rights to all customers voluntarily.

How to exercise your rights: email us at [PRIVACY EMAIL] with your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

keep the Site working (essential cookies, e.g., your shopping cart);
understand performance and usage (analytics cookies); and
support marketing and measurement (advertising cookies, where applicable).

Your choices: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Some browsers offer a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal; where required by law, we treat a recognized GPC signal as a request to opt out of "sale"/"sharing." You can also opt out of certain advertising through tools offered by the platforms we use (for example, ad-preference settings in Meta and TikTok) and through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).

8. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or platforms (such as our social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, and we rely on reputable providers (such as Shopify) that maintain their own security measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our products contain essential oils and should be kept out of reach of children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at juandavidcures@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11. U.S.-Only Audience

The Services are intended for users located in the United States. We do not target or knowingly market to individuals outside the U.S. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
